Bacup zine workshop: FREE workshops on Nov. 22 and Jan. 10

Crafts workshop for adults and kids aged 10+.

Alex, a local artist, has scheduled two workshop sessions to create a zine together. This is for adults, and for children aged 10+ (under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult).

These sessions take place on November 22 and January 10. This is a drop-in style workshop so just come by whenever you like, between 10-16 h.

In the workshops, participants will create a zine together. A zine is a small, handmade, and self-published booklet or magazine made at a low cost, often using a regular photocopier.

Participants can explore Bacup's history, current events, ambitions, heritage, and dreams in the works they create whether this is by making sketches, illustrations, paintings, using watercolour, acrylic paint, or collage, digital photography using your own smartphone or your own camera, scrap booking, writing poetry or prose.

This is FREE to attend, with all tools and materials provided. There will also be refreshments. Alex has also prepared lots of different ideas for what you could be doing, if you need some inspiration to get started. But please do work on your own ideas if you like.
